Shana Peete, JD, is a seasoned CEO, attorney, and leadership development expert with more than two decades of experience spanning law, nonprofit strategy, and corporate operations. Under her leadership, Center for Excellence in Nonprofits (CEN) expanded beyond regional impact to annually equipping 10,000+ nonprofit, civic, and corporate leaders and organizations around the globe with tools rooted in the IDEAL (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Access, and Liberation) framework—all while achieving record-breaking fundraising.

Fluent in Spanish and studying ASL and French, Shana brings humility, cultural competence, and systems thinking to her leadership. She has managed teams at Amazon, served as a political moderator, and earned recognitions as a LeaderSpring Women of Color Fellow and a Power 100 Award from the African American Community Services Agency of San Jose, among others.

Shana holds a J.D. from the University of Tennessee and a B.S. in International Business from California State University, Fresno. She is a certified nonprofit board consultant (BoardSource), a certificated Cornell University VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity) Leadership professional, and a certified Dare to Lead™ facilitator. Whether coaching boards, delivering keynotes, or helping organizations move from conflict to collaboration, she leads with clarity, compassion, and purpose.
