innovation incubator
New Sector Alliance has a distinguished history of research-driven program development that transforms ideas into impact. Through our Innovation Incubator, we collaborate with entrepreneurial, mission-driven leaders and philanthropic funders to incubate, refine, and scale innovative programs, projects, and initiatives that align with our mission to build a better future.
The Innovation Incubator enables partners with a particular focus area to work alongside NSA experts through a comprehensive development process: researching potential models, piloting promising approaches, and rigorously evaluating their impact. We offer customized solutions, including fiscal sponsorship, executive coaching, professional development, strategic networking connections, and specialized services that enhance the capacity of mission-driven leaders, philanthropists, projects, and programs.
We provide bespoke support tailored to each partner's unique vision and needs while fostering a dynamic community of innovative leaders across sectors to amplify collective impact. Some projects and programs remain under the New Sector Alliance umbrella indefinitely, benefiting from our ongoing infrastructure and expertise, while others transition to affiliate with other organizations or emerge as independent 501(c)(3) or other mission-driven entities.
InCUBATOR MODEL IN ACTION: ALUMNI INVESTMENT MODEL RESEARCH
In partnership with a private family foundation, New Sector Alliance is conducting comprehensive research to determine the most effective ways to support Fellowship alumni over time. Through alumni surveys, literature reviews, and listening sessions with both exemplary alumni programs and fellowship participants, we're developing evidence-based recommendations for high-impact alumni investment models. This research explores the full spectrum of support—from organizational mechanisms like innovation prizes to individual structures such as alumni networks—examining which approaches best sustain the fellowship's goals of building peer relationships, promoting resilience, developing leadership competencies, and driving lasting change. The resulting model will serve fellowship participants while generating insights that benefit the broader leadership development field.
