She/Her

YMCA of Greater Boston

I am originally from Frederick, Maryland and have been living in East Boston for nearly four years. I earned my undergraduate degree from Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, where I studied Recreation Management and played on the women’s lacrosse team. After graduating, I worked at a local food co-op, further contributing to my passion for supporting local agriculture, local food systems, and community wellness.

My career path then took me to Richmond, Virginia, where I gained experience in a corporate data analytics setting, a role that strengthened my technical and analytical skills but ultimately left me seeking more purpose-driven work. That search led me to a large-scale food pantry in Richmond, which became a pivotal moment in my career and solidified my commitment to the nonprofit and human services sector. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I moved to Northwest Alabama to work at a Community Action Agency managing housing and wraparound services for individuals experiencing homelessness, while completing my Master’s degree in Nonprofit Leadership at La Salle University.

Since 2022, I have worked with the YMCA of Greater Boston's Hunger Prevention team and currently serve as a SNAP-Ed (Nutrition Education) Program Manager supporting food access programming across Greater Boston. In my free time, I enjoy hiking with my husband and our German shepherd, Ake, cooking new recipes, hyper-fixating on a variety of crafts, and visiting family back in Maryland. I am very excited to join the 2026 Leadership Longevity Fellowship for Food Systems Leaders and grow alongside this inspiring cohort.
