Anthony Curtus
Facilitator Fellow
Anthony Curtis is a former educator and current non-profit leader who believes in the power of living in your greatness, the importance of social good, and the power of solidarity. In his current role as the Senior Manager of Volunteer Programs Manager at the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), he organizes, facilitates, and leads the NFTE volunteer team and NFTE’s volunteer programs across the globe with corporate and local community members to empower students to ignite their entrepreneurial mindset. For two years Anthony also led NFTE’s organizational culture initiatives. Anthony also participated in the inaugural national cohort of the New Sector Alliance’s Fellowship Program focused on leadership longevity: leveraging his leadership skills and passion for wellness advocacy and organizational culture change. Anthony also serves as a coach affiliate at Developing Capacity Coaching, LLC: leading workshops and retreats for individuals, educators, and teams focused on leadership development, resilience, and adaptive capacity of both those shaping systems and those most impacted by them — ensuring change is not just promised but proven.
For more than 15+ years Anthony was an educator at two Illinois high schools and during the summers was an instructor and director for the summer enrichment program at the Summer Institute for the Gifted. In 2010, Anthony received the Golden Apple Teaching Award for Excellence in Teaching and Leadership and was inducted into the Golden Apple Foundation. In addition, Anthony currently serves on the national board for the non-profit: GiveSanfoka. Anthony graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences. Anthony dreams of hosting his own television show or podcast focused on wellness and men of color.
