Jackie Mckinney

New Visions for Public Schools

Jackie is a community-oriented leader with over 15 years of experience working with nonprofit organizations and government agencies in North Carolina, Maryland, DC, and New York City to analyze systems and structures in order to advocate for and develop equitable programming for students, youth, and families. She is currently a Partnership Manager in the Community Engagement and Postsecondary Pathways Department at New Visions for Public Schools, based in New York, where she is responsible for creating and implementing the organization’s Student Advisory Network as well as coaching school leaders and staff in sustainable partnership development and management practices. Additionally, Jackie is a strategic growth consultant for small nonprofit organizations and has served on the boards of the Youth Power Coalition (NYC) and the Elon University Black Alumni Network (NC) as the chair of the Student Engagement and Development committee. She holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Baruch College through the National Urban Fellows program and has a B.A. in Communications from Elon University. Her hobbies include listening to audiobooks, exploring museums, and attending live music events.
