Dedrie Boykin
Mental Health Educator, Facilitator, and Coach
Dedrie Boykin, LICSW, LCSW-C is a seasoned executive leader, clinician, and educator with more than two decades of experience advancing mental health, leadership development, and equity initiatives. She currently serves as a Mental Health Educator, Facilitator, and Coach at New Sector Alliance, where she brings her deep expertise in clinical practice, program design, and organizational strategy to support leaders and teams in building resilience and fostering inclusive workplaces.
Beyond New Sector, Dedrie has held senior leadership roles across the nonprofit and social impact sectors, including her current role at Year Up, where she oversees multimillion-dollar programs, drives enrollment strategy, and champions diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) across multiple regions. She has also served as the CEO of a mental health clinic. In addition to her work with New Sector and Year Up, Dedrie currently teaches two courses as an Adjunct Professor at Howard University’s School of Social Work.
Dedrie is a McKinsey Black Executive Leadership Program alumna, a Certified Predictive Index Talent Optimizer, and a licensed clinical social worker in Maryland and Washington, D.C. She holds a BA in History from York University and a Master of Social Work from Howard University.
