Marcia Mundt
Senior Director, Program Strategy + Impact
Marcia Mundt, Ph.D., serves as Senior Director, Program Strategy + Impact at New Sector Alliance, where she shapes and oversees the strategic design, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the organization’s leadership and learning initiatives. Since joining New Sector in 2015, she has led the development of New Sector’s robust monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) systems, partnering with innovators from Stanford d.school and the Graduate School of Education to create cutting-edge indicators, including those that measure sentiment and mindset shifts.
With a rich background spanning both domestic and international development sectors, Marcia has designed intervention models, developed training curricula, and evaluated programs across diverse contexts. Her broad expertise spans applied research, strategic learning, and programmatic innovation.
Marcia holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Public Policy from the University of Massachusetts Boston, an M.A. in Peace Studies from the University of Bradford, and a B.A. in Communication Studies, Government, and Spanish from New Mexico State University. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, international travel, and quality moments with her family.
