Tacoma Pierce Habitat for Humanity

Deena Giesen was born and raised on the island of Oahu, HI, and transplanted to

Tacoma, WA where she found her passion for financial capacity and empowerment.

After years of working in the financial industry, Deena was led to work in the nonprofit

space focusing on financial education and one on one financial coaching.

Today, Deena leads all aspects of the homeownership and housing counseling program

and supports the post-purchase needs of homebuyers as the Director of Homeowner

Services at Tacoma Pierce County Habitat for Humanity. Deena is also an accredited

Financial Counselor and sits on the Executive Committee for Pierce County Asset

Building Coalition.
