Through our projects, New Sector Alliance offers talented students and young professionals the opportunity to make significant social impact while developing professional and leadership skills. The relationships we have built with our clients, professionals from top consulting firms, and academics from leading universities enable us to deliver a well-rounded experience that equips our alumni to be agents of change in any field they pursue.
Participants can expect to:
- Work on well-structured projects that deliver both personal and social impact
- Assume a high level of responsibility and take ownership of and accountability for the success of their project
- Complete an award-winning, rigorous training curriculum designed to teach practical skills which are transferable to any career path
- Receive multiple levels of support and guidance from professional consultant mentors and New Sector project liaisons
- Build relationships with outstanding individuals from all sectors and disciplines in the New Sector network
New Sector alumni have gone on to do meaningful work in all sectors. They are at leading for-profit companies including The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Google, and McKinsey & Company, nonprofits including Health Care for All, The Global Fund for Women, and The Gates Foundation, and graduate schools including Harvard Business School, Stanford Business School, The Kennedy School of Government, and Princeton’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public & International Affairs. Alumni have also gone on to found their own organizations.
