New Sector delivers strategy consulting services and leadership development programs, creating sustainable solutions to pressing community challenges. Our unique model relies on strong partnerships with top management consulting firms, academic institutions, nonprofits, and the Corporation for National and Community Service/AmeriCorps. Consulting firm partners include Accenture, Bain & Company, The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), The Bridgespan Group, Deloitte, McKinsey & Company, and Oliver Wyman. Academic partners include Babson College, Harvard University, The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Stanford University, the United Negro College Fund and its 39 member colleges, the University of California, Yale University, and dozens of other schools across the country. The Corporation for National and Community Service/AmeriCorps is our signature sponsor for our leadership development programs.
Since 2001, New Sector has completed close to 400 projects for 200 client organizations, who are working in underserved communities to ensure a bright future for young people, create opportunities for the economically disadvantaged, improve health, and protect the environment. To deliver high quality, low cost services that enable our clients to maximize their community impact, our staff has recruited, trained, and supported over 1500 volunteers from our consulting and academic partners, as well as 200 AmeriCorps members. Our client mix includes small start-up organizations, established nonprofit institutions, and corporate clients with whom we engage on projects related to social impact and environmental sustainability. "New Sector does work that's strategically important and critical to the future of our organization, work we need to get done in order to ensure that our future is successful: Heart and lung work, not appendages." -- Gerald Chertavian, CEO & Founder, Year Up |
