New Sector Alliance offers students and recent graduates opportunities to make a difference in our communities while developing professional and leadership skills. The relationships we have built with our clients, host organizations, AmeriCorps, professionals from top consulting firms, and academics from leading universities enable us to deliver a well-rounded experience that equips our alumni to be civic leaders in any field they pursue.
By working with New Sector, students and recent graduates can expect to:
- Serve on well-structured projects that deliver both individual and social impact
- Assume a high level of responsibility and take ownership of and accountability for the success of their project
- Complete a rigorous training curriculum designed to teach practical skills which are transferable to any career path
- Receive multiple levels of support and guidance from professional consultant advisors and New Sector project liaisons
- Build relationships with outstanding individuals from all sectors and disciplines in the New Sector network
New Sector alumni have gone on to do meaningful work in all sectors. They are at nonprofits including Health Care for All, The Global Fund for Women, and The Gates Foundation, for-profit companies including The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Chevron Energy Solutions, Google, and McKinsey & Company, and graduate schools including Harvard Business School, Stanford Business School, the Yale School of Management, The Kennedy School of Government, and Princeton's Woodrow Wilson School of Public & International Affairs. Alumni have also gone on to be social entrepreneurs and found their own organizations.
