Since our founding in 2000, New Sector Alliance has had the opportunity to accrue a vast wealth of knowledge through our work with hundreds of academic institutions, corporations, and nonprofits on various strategic issues. We have learned a great deal about the challenges that social enterprises face and the innovative solutions these organizations use to increase their capacity to serve their constituents. We have learned about and designed innovative tools to train and develop talent for socially responsible careers. For the benefit of all of our stakeholders, we have created a catalogue of our research, case studies, best practices, past project deliverables, and trainings, and we work to continually update it.

New Sector disseminates knowledge both within our organization and outside of it. Internally, we provide our consultants, program participants, and staff with access to the New Sector Knowledge Base, our proprietary knowledge management system. This knowledge repository provides access to our prior experience on various consulting topics, management functions, industries and sub-sectors, as well as external knowledge resources. It also includes trainings on myriad key issues in consulting, social enterprise, nonprofit management, and other important topics. Additionally, our advisory and mentoring relationships facilitate the transfer of knowledge between the academic, private, and nonprofit sectors, allowing best practices to be shared and new ideas to be created. Externally, we regularly share social enterprise and management consulting expertise through speaking engagements, workshops, and training sessions custom-designed for specific audiences. We also produce an annual Social Impact Report and newsletters to share knowledge and best practices.
