Harry (Hap) H. Brakeley, III, Managing Director of Accenture’s Energy Group

Hap Brakeley is the Head of Accenture’s Energy Practice, which works with leading companies to meet competitive challenges, and shapes solutions that advance their journey to high performance.  Prior to his current role, Hap was President of Accenture Learning, specializing in developing Accenture's innovative approaches to delivering transformational learning services to corporate and government clients, including over one million learners in 93 countries. With more than 20 years' experience in consulting, Hap has been involved extensively in technology and market-driven organizational change projects for Fortune 100 clients across a wide range of industries, from media and entertainment groups to manufacturing organizations. He has also created myriad new ventures and alliances, has launched several new businesses for Accenture, and was a member of the Board of Directors that launched Accenture's IPO. Hap holds a BA in Mathematics and Economics from Dartmouth College, where he currently directs two major scholarship funds: the Dartmouth College Libby Brakeley Scholarship, for top engineering students, and the Libby Brakeley Scholarship Fund, which provides tuition for top graduating high school students. Hap lives in Marblehead, MA, with his wife and six children.

Lance Bultena, Partner, Hogan and Hartson LLP

Lance Bultena is a Partner in the Legislative and Internet Groups of Hogan & Hartson L.L.P. His practice focuses on the representation of corporations, coalitions and trade associations before Congress Executive agencies. In addition, he assists businesses as they seek to address the implications of widespread Internet use both for their business model and for existing regulatory structures. Prior to joining Hogan and Hartson, Lance acted as Counsel to the Senate Commerce Committee's Subcommittee on Consumer Affairs,Foreign Commerce and Tourism, where he gained considerable experience in all phases of the legislative process. In this position, he was responsible for the Committee's many legal reform efforts, including the Product Liability Fairness Act, the Biomaterials Access Assurance Act of 1998, the McCain tobacco settlement legislation, and the TEA-21 transportation legislation. Lance graduated summa cum laude from the University of South Dakota in 1985. He was awarded a Rhodes Scholarship in 1985 and attended Oxford University where he completed a Masters in Economics (M.Phil., 1987) and a doctorate in politics (D.Phil., 1990). Lance received his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1991.

Jagdish Chokshi, Chief Financial Officer, Neighborhood House Charter School

Jagdish "Jug" Chokshi is the Chief Financial Officer at Neighborhood House Charter School. Prior to this role, he was Director of Finance for Citizen Schools, Inc, a nonprofit that provides after-school programs where volunteers are connected with students through experiential learning projects. In his role, Jug led the financial, human resources and operational areas, delivered staff and volunteer trainings, and coached site directors on management issues. In addition, he served on the Leadership team, which identifies and addresses key management and strategic issues, and Board committees (Finance and Growth & Strategy). Prior to Citizen Schools, Jug completed the MBA program at Boston University, with a focus in Public and Nonprofit management. During that time, he worked as an organizational consultant for Boston-area CBOs. Before business school, Jug worked for Perkin-Elmer Corporation as a project manager in New York City, where he implemented worldwide strategic initiatives. He has a bachelor's degree in English Literature from the University of Connecticut.

Blair Crawford, Director, McKinsey & Company

Blair Crawford is currently a Director in McKinsey & Company's Boston office. Since joining McKinsey over fifteen years ago, Blair has worked in both Europe and North America with a broad range of Retail and Packaged Goods clients. His experience covers multiple issues including corporate strategy, growth, merchandising strategies, and organizational design. His recent experience includes leading a peer-based improvement program for a major U.S. grocer; developing a growth strategy for an apparel retailer; evaluating an acquisition opportunity for a large multi-line retailer; designing and launching a customer loyalty card for a large food retailer; and developing a global expansion strategy, including detailed implementation plans and operations redesign for a fast-food retailer. Blair joined McKinsey's London office after completing an MBA at Harvard Business School. Prior to McKinsey, he worked for the Arcadia Group (the UK largest fashion multiple retailer) for 5 years as both a Buyer and a Merchandiser. Blair lives in Brookline, MA with his wife, Sylvia, and two sons.

Carlin (Carly) Janson, Founder and President/CEO, New Sector Alliance

Carly Janson is the Founder and President/CEO of New Sector and also currently works as a Director at The Boston Consulting Group focused on social impact and talent development. In 2000, Carly founded New Sector as a way to bridge social divides by leveraging the resources of academia, business, and the nonprofit sector. She incorporated New Sector as a social enterprise consulting firm in 2001. Carly’s work over the past decade has primarily focused on developing strategies and executing change initiatives in the field of social impact, including work with NGOs, for-profit companies, public sector agencies, and cross-sector partnerships. Carly has also consulted to Fortune 100 companies in the financial services and telecommunications industries. Carly holds a BA in Economics, magna cum laude, from Princeton University, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and has studied International Economics and The Economics of Social Problems at the London School of Economics. She was recently elected a Center for Social Innovation Fellow at Stanford's Graduate School of Business. Carly currently serves on the boards of New Sector and The Rappaport Institute, co-teaches a course on Consulting to Nonprofits at Harvard, and guest lectures at several other academic institutions.

Roger L. Krakoff, Venture Partner, Sigma Partners

Roger Krakoff is a Venture Partner at Sigma Partners. He has over 15 years of venture capital, equity investing and operating experience in the enterprise software, IT, and information services industries. Before Sigma, Roger was a partner with JEGI Capital, focusing on the intersection of technology with the media, marketing and information industries where he was a director of Aprimo Software, Noosh Software, and Intraspect Software (acquired by Vignette Software). He has also served as a Managing Director in Veronis Suhler Stevenson's Business & Professional Information Group and directed the private equity fund's investing efforts in the healthcare information market (Solucient), in addition to its efforts in venture investing (ChemConnect). Roger has held senior executive positions in corporate development, marketing, and product management at WebLine Communcations (acquired by Cisco Systems), Stream International (acquired by Solectron), the Dun & Bradstreet Corporation, where he founded D&B Services; D&B Small Business Solutions, and opened business credit joint venture operations across Eastern Europe. He began his career at IBM. Roger is a frequent speaker and a writer on the information services industry. Roger earned an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MA from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and a Bachelor of Arts with High Honors in International Relations and Economics from Tufts University.

Michael May, Distinguished Executive in Residence & Senior Lecturer in Management, Babson University

Michael May has spent the last 30 years in various capacities within the management consulting industry. Most recently he was the Global Managing Partner of the Strategy Business for Accenture. In addition, Michael was the Senior Global Partner in charge of Thought Leadership and Innovation. In that role all research labs and global innovation programs reported to him. He spent most of his time working for clients in the area of business strategy, organization and resource management. He has focused on the financial services industry where his clients have included Citicorp, Merrill Lynch, Barclays, National Australia Bank and Summitomo Bank. In addition, he has consulted for numerous other clients including General Electric, VF Corporation and United States Steel. Michael started his early career at A.T. Kearney where he focused on Insurance and Banking Industry Clients. His research has focused on Value Creation in Global Enterprises, Innovation Behavioral Systems and Corporate Risk Management. Michael currently teaches Corporate Strategy & National Systems and Management Consulting at Babson's Graduate School of Business.
